Steve Wallach and John Taylor of Youngevity take the Silver State by Storm

San Diego, California – Steve Wallach and John Taylor of Youngevity, powered their 2001 Z06 Corvette, decked out with the Youngevity logo, to a third place finish in the Silver State Classic.

The Silver State Classic is an open road race near Ely, Nevada. The State of Nevada closes a 90 mile stretch of Route 318 and drivers from around the world converge on the high desert town, for this event.

This is a timed rally event, where the object is to average the “Target Speed” of 140 mph while not exceeding the “Tech Speed” of 165 mph or dropping below a specified speed. This is the first time Wallach and Taylor have competed in the 140 mph class, where they reached a top speed of 165 mph!

“What a competitive class, what an awesome event” Taylor said. The top four cars all crossed the finish line in the 140 mph class in under a second off of a perfect time. Wallach and Taylor were just .4443 of a second off of a perfect time at the end of the 90 mile course. They covered the 90 miles with an average speed of 139.9731 in the 140 mph class.

The Silver State Classic is an open road race sanctioned by the State of Nevada and was established in 1988.
