According to a New Study, Vitamins D and K Promote Anti-Inflammatory Effects

Increased intake of vitamins D and K could help protect against inflammation, positively affect chronic disease, and promote optimal health and wellness, suggests a new observational study.

The study, published in the American Journal of Epidemiology, adds to in-vitro data supporting benefits for the vitamins against inflammation, brought about by an over-expression or lack of control of the normal protective mechanism. Chronic inflammation has been linked to a range of conditions such as heart disease, osteoporosis, cognitive decline, diabetes, and even Alzheimer’s disease.

“Our findings provide one potential alternative mechanism for a putative protective effect of vitamin K in the progression of cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis, since both diseases are characterized by inflammation,” wrote lead author Kyla Shea from Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, Tufts University.

This Week's Conference Call

Conference Calls Schedule

First, we would like to thank Dr. Corey Gold and Steve Wallach for joining us on our last week's call. They discussed more business-building tips and provided inspiration and information for marketing your business—not just your products. With the holidays upon us, more people are apt to welcome change into their lives, so Steve and Dr. Gold taught us how to overcome our normal inhibitions and embrace this potential for added success!

Tonight’s call brings on a few of our Founders that participated in the Founders Club Cruise last week. It was a highly successful and fun event for everyone involved! Listen in as our guests talk about the accomplishment of achieving Founder status and gaining the option to go on the cruise, and all the experiences that came with it—such achievements are truly inspirational to the rest of the business-building community.

Please join us this and every Thursday night at 5:00 PM Pacific, followed by The Leadership Training Call with Sandy Elsberg at 5:30 PM Pacific. Dial (303) 664-6005, ID number 801-6610. Help reduce background noise, and please remember: *6 to mute, *7 to un-mute.
