Grape OPCs Linked to Healthy Cholesterol Levels

New research has linked OPCs from grape seeds to the prevention of LDL cholesterol oxidation that can lead to Atherosclerosis.

Research performed in the Netherlands was presented this week at the 14th Annual Meeting of the Society for Free Radical Biology and Medicine in Washington, D.C.

“The results of the first phase of the project are extremely promising, because they indicate that OPCs, at levels found in circulation after oral intake, are capable of protecting LDL from oxidation, and appear to be more effective protectors than vitamin E,” said author Dr. Geetha Achanta.

“Targeting ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species, also known as Free Radicals), with dietary antioxidants is therefore an attractive approach for preventing atherosclerosis, and this approach is supported by epidemiological evidence correlating dietary antioxidant intake with lower risk of cardiovascular disease,” indicate the authors in the poster presentation.

“In conclusion, the results reveal a plausible mechanism by which OPCs inhibit LDL oxidation, and provide a basis for further investigating the potential protective effects of OPCs in atherosclerosis,” state the study authors.

This Week's Conference Call

Conference Calls Schedule

Now that Thanksgiving has passed and we are refreshed and rejuvenated, it’s time to get back on the calls! But first, let us thank Michael Glenn and Phil Oliver for joining us on our last call two weeks ago. They reminded us about all of the benefits Rebound fx™ has to offer! They also offered tips and key information to refresh our promotional tactics of Rebound fx™ in our own businesses.

On tonight’s call we will have Steve Wallach, Bernie Owens, Tom Chenault, and Richard Renton joining us, to talk about the post-launch A.C.T.™ opportunity for Youngevity® distributors. Distributors now have complete access to the binary compensation plan and all of the products, and as a result, we are expecting plenty of questions! Dial in tonight to learn more about A.C.T.™ and get all of your questions answered, so that you can fully take advantage of the opportunity.

Please join us this and every Thursday night at 5:00 PM Pacific, followed by The Leadership Training Call with Sandy Elsberg at 5:30 PM Pacific. Dial (303) 664-6005, ID number 801-6610. Help reduce background noise, and please remember: *6 to mute, *7 to un-mute.
