The growing popularity of whey protein is creating new opportunities and a renewed need for nutrition education.
Whey has long been used for its functional properties, but it is also now increasingly being added because of its nutritional properties.
It is natural, and can be used by food makers to reformulate their products to take out less beneficial additives.
The researchers conclude their report with a call to action:
Recent studies have also helped to bolster the ingredient's reputation. New research, published online in the Journal Food Research International suggested that modification of whey protein concentrates with high phospholipids proportions could turn standard emulsifiers into functional health-promoting ingredients.

The holidays are a great reason to call ALL your Preferred Customers and Associates. Here are just a few tips to help you get on that phone!
- Put yourself in a positive frame of mind before you make the call so you can transfer your enthusiasm to them.
- Set your intention for the call. What do you want to have happen? How about reminding them you are there to help them with their holiday shopping? Suggest companion items that will complement what they have already ordered.
- Make first impressions count. The first fifteen seconds sets the tone for your entire call. Your most effective introduction is one with professionalism and warmth.
- Respect their time. “Is this a good time for you?” will show respect for his or her time and privacy.
- Build rapport. Everyone wants to feel special, so build rapport with a compliment or gesture of friendship.
- Go for the gold! You made the call – now make the most of the opportunity by offering to…
- Save money by shopping for the holidays with their members’ pricing at Youngevity®.
- Earn holiday cash by becoming a “Holiday Helper” by starting their business just in time to collect orders for the holidays.
