Dark Chocolate Acts as Aspirin
Michelle Wallach and Vanessa Hunter on Tonight's Conference Call
Getting Started: Holding Your First Meeting
According to a New Study Dark Chocolate Acts as Aspirin
Cocoa can function in the same way as aspirin in preventing heart attacks, reports a new study investigating its effect on blood platelets. Dark Chocolate has recently been making inroads into the health market as its beneficial antioxidant and flavanoid content becomes more widely publicized.
Scientists at John Hopkins University School of Medicine say that a small amount of Dark Chocolate each day can reduce the risk of a Heart Attack by almost 50 percent in some cases.
"The chemical in Cocoa Beans has a biochemical effect similar to aspirin in reducing platelet clumping, which can be fatal if a clot forms and blocks a blood vessel, causing a Heart Attack", This according to Professor Diane Becker.
The full results of this study were presented at the Annual Scientific Meetings of the American Heart Association recently in Chicago.

Week's Conference Call
Conference Calls Schedule
Many thanks to our last conference call speakers, Brenda Wright and Sandy Elsberg, who joined the call to share their favorite Youngevity® recipes!
Michelle Wallach began the call with her kitchen-tested recipe for COCOGEVITY™ brownies. Simply buy your favorite store-brand brownie mix (Michelle prefers Ghirardelli and Betty Crocker brands) and substitute COCOGEVITY™ in the place of water. This ensures you can get your chocolate and nutrient fix!
Brenda followed Michelle with suggestions for Jell-O and Banana Nut Muffins. When preparing your favorite flavor of Sugar-Free Jell-O with the kids, or by yourself, consider adding fresh fruit - Brenda enjoys peaches- which she properly cleans, marinates in Herbal Rainforest™ and adds to the Jell-O.
For Brenda's Banana Nut Muffins: mix eight ripe bananas with 1 tsp. baking soda (and put aside). Next, take two cubes of butter and mix with eight eggs, again, placing aside. Now, take six scoops of Nature's Whey™ Vanilla, ˝ tsp. baking powder (to provide levity), two-three cups of whole grain flour or muffin mix and two cups chopped pecans. Mix everything together and add to muffin tins which you will bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Sandy Elsberg shared her favorite cocktail, mocktail and smoothie recipes! Sandy likes to mix Pina Colada cocktails with Rebound Fx™ for added energy. You can use coconut, papaya, or mango juices or a "tropical" blend as the base, blending with Rebound Fx™ and ice, served in flutes with or without Rum! Sandy has also found success using Williams Sonoma cocktail blends with Rebound Fx™ - usually creating melon martinis with Melon Madness™. For her daughter who is vegetarian, Sandy creates a Nature's Whey™ smoothie every morning, including a mixture of fresh or frozen berries, adding a shot of Berri Boost™ and Cheri-Mins™. For cold weather, Sandy prepares Nature's Whey™ Vanilla, warm water, COCOGEVITY™ and Osteo-Fx™.
Steve finished the call with his favorite morning coffee chaser of Orange Juice with a shot of COCOGEVITY™, Herbal Rainforest™ and Osteo-Fx™.
Tonight Michelle Wallach and Vanessa Hunter will host the call with an overview of last weekend's Girl's Night Out event and Mineral Makeup training session. Debra Flanders, Brandi Brogdon, Theresa Lovell, Martina Hartigan and Barbara Lukehart will also join the call to speak about all the fun!
Be sure to join us this and every Thursday evening at 5:00 PM Pacific, followed by The Leadership Training Call with Sandy Elsberg at 6:00 PM Pacific. Dial (303) 664-6005, ID number 801-6610. Help reduce background noise, please remember: *6 to mute, *7 to un-mute.
Getting Started: Holding Your First Meeting
A key component for success in Network Marketing is holding meetings, which produce income! Businesses need to initiate meetings and yours is no exception! The most common sabotage is the mistaken choice to "pre-judge" or decide for a person why they "would" or "would not" want your service! Usually this is to protect ourselves from rejection. We do not want to feel the sting of a person's "no" or "no, not now" response. Have you ever heard the expression "feel the fear, but do it anyway?" Well, that is what you must do! If you do not ask, you are sure to get a "no!" However, if you ask, you risk a "yes" response! Results are definitely in the asking!
Consider each of the following elements:
- Make a comprehensive list of each person you know. Pretend you are getting married. Whom would you invite? Then list everyone who provides a service to you such as your hairstylist or dry cleaner. Why leave anyone out!
- Define a clear picture of your goal. What are you working towards right now? Is it an achievement? A prize? A deadline? A challenge? A promotion?
- What benefits are there for your potential customer? What is the win/win? What do you have to offer unconditionally? Are there strings attached? Are you giving more than you are asking for? Why would they want to invest time with you?
It is natural to feel intimidated by the phone at first. Great things can happen if you stretch yourself and dive in. With each appointment, your confidence and phone skills will improve. Confidence grows with experience! The only way to master a skill is to do it! You have your list of names. You know what to say. Now you must pick up the phone and make calls!
Are you ready for success? Make your list and follow through! Remember, those out there doing it are constantly proving those who say it cannot be done wrong! Choose success by taking action now!
