Mineral Deficiency in Food Must Be Tackled, Say Experts
Dr. David Thomas, a primary healthcare practitioner and independent researcher who recently made a comparison of government nutritional tables published in 1940, and again in 2002, argues that the gradual degradation of the micronutrient value of food must be tackled by industry, consumers, and regulators.
"It seems to me we don't need to be so sophisticated, we just need to step back and look at the reasons why we are unhealthy. Usually it's the body's response to environmental stresses. We need a common sense approach."

This
Week's Conference Call
Many thanks to last week's Conference Call speakers, joining the call to reminisce about the many highlights and fun memories made at Youngevity’s 2006 Convention in Las Vegas!
If you weren’t able to attend the Convention, you missed the network marketing strategies and secrets shared at TNT’s Diamond University, the camaraderie that ensued during the Men’s Grand Poobah and Ladies Purple Hat Luncheons, the inspiring and motivational sessions with Cynthia Kersey and Amanda Gore, as well as Martin Luther King III’s speech about Complimentary Medicine, Nutrition, and Health Freedom! Friday and Saturday night each held a special place in the memories of Convention attendees, as Friday brought about Steve Wallach’s very exciting announcement of the company name change to Youngevity, along with the launch of the Founders Club Cruise incentive. On Saturday evening many distributors received praise from their upline, downline and peers during the Oscars-themed awards ceremony. All were in agreement that this was by far the best convention they had ever attended and were inspired to continue the health and wellness crusade started by Dr. Wallach many years ago!
Photos and video from Convention 2006 can be viewed by clicking the ‘06 Convention Photos/Videos link on the What's New page on the website.
Tonight's conference call guest will be Michael Zwerling joining the call to discuss the power behind radio, and how you can incorporate mass communication into your business!

Tips to Help Keep Business Hot This Summer
Don't let the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer find your business lazy, hazy or crazy! Use the following tips to keep your momentum moving forward this summer:
- Set your summer goals. Decide how many meetings you will schedule per week in June, July and August. Then determine your sales goal per meeting and how many recruit leads you want to work with this summer. Your first step for summer success will be found in your written goals.
- Pick your dates. Select the specific dates available each week to hold shows. Block them out on your calendar and publish them in your next customer e-newsletter.
- Pick a theme. Summer events need to catch your host's and guests attention. So, even if you're not traditionally a "theme" person, become one for the summer. Plan events and meetings around a tropical theme, patriotic theme, pool party (even if there isn't a pool!), beach theme, backyard barbeque, baseball theme, etc. Have guests participate by bringing or wearing something to complement the theme. Make your summer event a party in order to grab their attention and their attendance!
- Be flexible. If available, offer more flexible times for events such as morning brunch or mid-day luncheon. Consider informal open house style meetings for repeat groupings.
- Hold a summer open house. Pick your own theme and schedule the open house for your guests, family and friends. Set up your kit, offer cash & carry items and promote your available summer show dates.
- Schedule a daily summer Power Hour. Plan a Power Hour daily to make courtesy calls to past host and guests. Ask about their summer gift-giving needs, re-order necessities or new products they haven't seen yet. Stay faithful to your customers especially during the summer months.
- Enter exposure events. Participate in at least one exposure event each month this summer: craft shows, fairs, festivals, business expos, etc. Keep yourself busy and in the public eye.
