Calcium May Promote Healthy Body Weight

Low dietary intakes of calcium may increase the prevalence of being overweight or obesity by 24 percent, according to a new study from Brazil.

The study results showed that people with the lowest average intakes (less than 265 mg) were 24 percent more likely to be overweight, compared to people who consumed at least 593 mg of calcium per day.

“In the present study, higher mean calcium intakes were also observed among women with normal weight who were non-smokers, practiced physical activity, and had higher educational levels,” Milena Baptista Bueno, the lead researcher.

4th of July Team Building BBQ

Create a sense of unity by inviting your team members and their families to a backyard BBQ. This is a great way to help build, solidify, and recognize your team's efforts.

Here is a simple plan to help get your "Team Building BBQ" going:

• Have everyone bring a dish to make preparation easy.
• Set aside some time to recognize the spouses and children of your team members.
• Add a little humor - present a "TV Dinner Award" to the spouse of the team member who held the most meetings during the previous month. Take this opportunity to also let all of the spouses know their support is crucial to their partner's success.
• Make the kids feel special too, by presenting each with a special ribbon. Many of you already hold Team Building BBQs at various times throughout the year, and many of you may be thinking of starting this tradition. The upcoming 4th of July holiday may be the perfect time to plan or get a Team Building BBQ tradition started.

I know Dr. Wallach will be having his annual 4th of July BBQ at a local park. Everyone brings a dish and Doc grills up the hamburgers. It is a great time for everyone and gives us a chance to meet one on one and discuss key plans and share ideas with our Youngevity® distributors. I, for one, never miss it! If you would like to attend Dr. Wallach’s 4th of July BBQ please see his schedule for July for more information.

On that note - A reminder: the Youngevity® USA Corporate Office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day. Normal office hours will resume again on Monday, July 6th.

Happy 4th of July Everyone!
